NEW in 2018, Tennis PEI has developed a Competitive supplementary program to enhance the tennis-specific training of any players interested in competitive tennis, between the ages of 8-16.

Benefits of a Squad approach:

  • Athlete’s support each other weekly in Strength & Conditioning sessions
  • Program Lead, Jeremy Salvo, is Tennis Canada Coach 3 certified
  • Jeremy will be attending Outdoor Atlantic Championships to coach all players
  • Each athlete will receive a Team Hoodie and is eligible for an Athlete Travel Grant ($200 towards one tournament off-island)
  • All specialized services will be lead by Experts in the field (Athlete Testing, Mental Training, Nutrition, Strength & Conditioning)
  • Two squad levels to tailor to the different age and skill development needs of players


Spring: May 5 & 6, 2018
Summer: week leading into Junior Atlantics
Fall: September 29 & 30, 2018

Development Squad (12 and under), $300

Ages 12 and under
Committed to tennis-specific training minimum 2 times per week (club/community of choice)
Will compete in at least one ATA Junior circuit tournament in the 2018 outdoor season

Program includes:

  • Weekly Strength & Conditioning session, Tuesdays @ 6:30pm
  • Two Development & Evaluation Camps (Spring & Fall)
  • Individual Athlete Development Plan

Performance Squad (performance-based), $400

Has a Head Coach responsible for implementing training plan
Has made Tennis their primary sport
Has competed at a national-level tennis event (Nationals or Canada Games)

Program includes:

  • Two weekly Strength & Conditioning sessions, Tuesdays @ 6:30pm + one additional
  • Three Development & Assessment Camps (Spring, Summer & Fall)
  • Individual Athlete Development & Evaluation plan
